Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Visit logs: IP address, browser (user agent), referring page, page address, country estimated from the IP, time. Used for security and statistics. Kept for up to 400 days.
• Prayer rooms: while you are in a room we keep a random token, your seat and your last action for about 20 seconds after you leave. We do not store your IP address or name for this.
• Administrator sign-ins: IP, sign-in ID, browser, referring page and time of every sign-in attempt.
• Members (to create memorial pages): email, password (stored as a one-way hash), whether the email is verified, sign-in records. Deleted when you leave.
• Memorial pages: the name, dates, text and photos you add (location data inside photos is removed). Deleted together when the member deletes the page.
• Words of remembrance: optional name and text, plus a daily IP hash to apply the posting limit (the IP itself is not stored). The edit key stays only in your browser tab (sessionStorage).
• Contact form: topic, subject, message, name, email, IP and browser. Used to reply and kept for one year after handling.
• Prayer direction compass: your browser uses your location only when you tap "Use my location"; the direction is calculated in your browser and is not sent to our server.

Cookies

• ora_lang: the language you chose or that matched your region (1 year).
• googtrans: set only when a translated language is used, so Google Translate can show the page in that language.
• orasid: a session cookie used only when signing in or sending the contact form.

Translation

Korean and English pages are written by us. Other languages use Google Translate, which loads only when such a language is in use; the page text is then sent to Google for translation.

Data sources

• IP Geolocation by DB-IP (CC BY 4.0), used to pick a language and to count visits by country.
• Religion shares by country: CIA World Factbook (public domain), used only to order the prayer rooms on the home page.

Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information. Data is kept on our own server.
